How to Remove a Broken Key

Removing a broken key seems fairly simple but unless you are fairly experienced can be very frustrating & time consuming I highly recomend you just change the lock here’s why 1 usually the broken key kets pushed deep into the lock & the wafers or pins have to be simmountaneously pushed out of the way while the broken piece is pulled out 2 the broken key usually has sharp jagged burrs that grab into the lock cylinder like barbs 3 the broken key is often twisted stopping it from sliding easily 4 the cylinder itself is most likey damaged and may need to be replaced anyway 5 the tools needed to remove the broken key often cost more than a new cylinder 6 very often the delicate tools for removing broken keys snap off in the lock
